July 2006

Date: 7/3/06 - West View Garden Apartments - Dispatched to an automatic fire alarm. 297 Assistant 3 arrived on scene with truck 3. Cleaning products set off alarm. Alarm reset.

Date: 7/5/06 - 154 Jamaica Ave. - Dispatched to a brush fire. Small fire found by 297 Assistant 3. 297 E-2 handled the call and extinguished fire.
Date: 7/6/06 - Windsor Place - Dispatched to assist Ross with an automatic fire alarm. Investigation found nothing and crews were returned into service.
Date: 7/6/06 - Area of Hempstead - Units responded to a smell of something burning. 297 Chief and Assistant 3 investigated and found nothing. Crews were diverted to Windsor Place for above call.
Date: 7/8/06 - Columbia Ave. - Dispatched to a smell of smoke in the area. 297 Assistant 2 and Engine 2 investigated and found nothing.
Date: 7/13/06 - 753 North Balph Ave. - 297 units responded on a 2nd alarm to the above address for a working structure fire with 103,108,109,251, and 275.
Date: 7/23/06 - 456 Center Ave. - Dispatched to a residential structure fire. 297 Assistant 1 arrived on scene with heavy fire showing on the B-C side of the structure. 109,148,249 and Ross WV Rescue 40 and EMS units were also dispatched. 297 crews provided a knock down on the fire. Overhaul was performed by crews on scene and Allegheny County Fire Marshall took over with the investigation.
Date: 7/26/06 - 66 Park Ave. - Dispatched to a controlled burn. Neighbor called and reported building materials being burned. 297 Assistant 1 arrived on scene finding a small fire in a fire pit. Engine 1 crews extinguished the fire. All units returned.
