February Calls: 2007
Date: 2/8/07 - 336 Perry Hwy. - Dispatched to an automatic fire alarm. Units arrived on scene with an audible alarm. Nothing found after search. Alarm disabled for owner to repair.
Date: 2/9/07 - 819 Ohio River Blvd. - Dispatched to assist Avalon with a working structure fire. Units on scene performed fire suppression, overhaul, and clean up. Other units dispatched to fire scene or put on stand by include 108,109,103, 148, 297, 220, 101, 250, 251, 252, 239, 246, 249, 205, 253 and 182.
Date: 2/10/07 - 124 Glenmore Ave. - Dispatched to fire coming from a drier vent. 297 Captain 2 on scene reporting someone grilling. Units returned.
Date: 2/12/07 - 232 Montclair Ave. - Owner returned home to find gas filling her home. Units arrived on scene finding stove left on.
Date: 2/13/07 - 30 Township Rd. - Vehicle into a pole with unknown injuries. 297 Chief arrived on scene. No need for fire units, all returned.
Date: 2/16/07 - 153 Schwitter Ave. - Dispatched to an alarm sounding inside the structure. Engine 2 arrived on scene and investigated finding nothing wrong. Alarm reset and units returned.
Date: 2/16/07 - Homecourt Alley - Dispatched to assist the police for a search detail.
Date: 2/17/07 - Homecourt Alley - Dispatched to assist the police for a search detail (continued).
Date: 2/22/07 - Perry Hwy. and Highland Ave. - Dispatched to wires sparking. 297 Chief arrived on scene finding nothing. Units returned.
Date: 2/22/07 - 153 Schwitter Ave. - Dispatched to an alarm sounding inside the structure. Per Chief all units respond non-emergency. Nothing found, alarm reset.
Date: 2/23/07 - 153 Schwitter Ave. - Dispatched to an alarm sounding inside the structure. Alarm set off by sanding. Units reset alarm and returned.
Date: 2/24/07 - 398 Perry Hwy. - Dispatched to a general fire alarm. Police on scene with maintenance man running the buffer, which set off the alarm. Engine 1 confirmed and units returned.
Date: 2/28/07 - 398 Perry Hwy. - Dispatched to a general fire alarm activation. As per 297 Chief all units hold on station while he investigates. Nothing found and all units returned in service.
